August 11, 2018 - Booger Brooks Bags Boyd's Speedway Red Clay Series Cash
1On August 11th the Red Clay Series 602 Late Models made their way to Boyd’s Speedway. Where the night would start off with 26 cars signing in to do battle for the Summer Sizzler, with the highest car count to date for the young series the night would produce 2 and 3 wide racing action throughout the night.

Fast time would go to local hot shoe Booger Brooks setting the pace for the field at a 15.509 around Boyd’s Speedway.  Colton Jackson, Jeremy Broome, Ryan King and Matthew Knight would fill out the rest of the locked in spots and set the field for the Dash for Cash presented by #FATBOYRACING.

Heat one would see Daniel Brewer jump out front and go onto win the heat and give himself the 7th starting spot in the feature. Heat two would go to Matt Steward while the rest of the heat was highly contested with three wide racing until Mitchell Keaton tagged the outside wall in turn one, ending his night.   The Dash for Cash was just as exciting as the drivers where racing for an extra $100 and there spots where chosen by kids from the stands. Colton Jackson, Jeremy Broome and Justin Winters were racing 2-3 wide for the first three laps. After seeing the nose of Jeremy Broome on the outside, Colton Jackson threw a slider in an attempt to break Jeremy’s momentum. July 18, 2018 - Driver Spotlight: Matthew Knight
1The Red Clay Series 602 Late Models is proud to showcase our first driver spotlight presented by Truform Race Products. Today we will shine the light on Villa Rica, Georgia native Matthew Knight.

Matthew has been racing for a little over 4 years now, He began his career in a clip car that his dad had and has accumulated several wins over the last couple of years. Which led him to take on the series as a challenge of new tracks and stiffer competition.

When talking to Matthew he made it very clear that he wants to continue his growth in racing by learning everything he can and advancing through the classes as best as he can. With hopes of being at the top of the sport one day.

His favorite memory would have to be the night he and his brother, Ryan Knight, ran side by side for 25 laps and any time he gets to race against his dad.

Matthew would like to thank his hero, dad Mark Knight, who is a local hot shoe in his own right, for teaching him everything he can and supporting him. His mom, Rhonda for her support and his girlfriend Alexis. His sponsors Anthony Hill Grading, Fairplay Towing, RPI and Design Twenty Three for there help in keeping him on the track.
